Open a bale
A description is not an inspection.
Because it was bought by name over the phone, and a name is not a cutting.
Hay sold as a category — timothy, alfalfa, orchard — tells you almost nothing. The cutting, the field, the weather that week and how long it sat before baling all matter more than the species on the invoice, and none of them travel down a phone line.
That is why a sample bale settles everything. Opening one takes five minutes, costs nothing, and replaces a description with a fact. It also means that when a load arrives, both sides already agree on what was bought.
The part we stay out of is the diet. Owners of metabolic, elderly or hard-working animals need real figures and a professional to interpret them. We will get the forage analysed and hand over the report; what to do with it belongs to a vet or a nutritionist.
A description is not an inspection.
Independent numbers beat our opinion.
We supply forage, not advice.
Free, with no obligation, and an honest answer about the cutting.
